London - Day 3.

This morning we 'transferred' from Anna & John's home to the home of our friends, Carol & Peter, in Raynes Park.

After lunch we had a wander along the High Street in Wimbledon.

We had a leisurely morning at Anna & Jon's.

In the afternoon, we walked through Clapham Common and some of the retail stores on Clapham High Street.

We were joined for dinner by our nephew, Stephen, and his daughter, Emelia.

Day 2 - Tuesday 1 October

London - Day 1

After landing at Heathrow at midday, we were met by our friend, Colin, who drove us to Clapham Common, to the home of our niece, Anna, and her husband, Jon, where we spent the day and night.

Day 48 – Thursday 28 March

Cruise Day 22

Brisbane - Melbourne

We arrived in Brisbane in the morning.

After breakfast, and saying farewell to our new friends, we disembarked. We then met Di, Jan, Warwick & Terry (Jan & Warwick were joining the cruise!).

We then ubered to Brisbane airport, then caught our 2+ hour flight to Melbourne airport, then Starbus home.

We had a great holiday, with the highlight being 3 fabulous weeks in India with Paul & Lynaire. We made several new friends on our journey. Other highlights were (in chronological order):

·         the Royal Palace in Bangkok, Thailand

·         the Angkor Wat complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia

·         countless forts, palaces, temples & other monuments in India – in the cities of Delhi, Amritsar & Agra, & throughout the state of Rajasthan

·         the Taj Mahal in Agra

·         the Wagah Border Crossing ceremony

·         the Desert Festival in Jaisalmer

·         Ranthambore National Park & its tigers

·         great dinners at Indian Accent & Bukhara, in Delhi

·         the Night Safari in Singapore

·         a very relaxing cruise

·         the Peurto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, with its caves

·         the Conflict Islands, Papua New Guinea.
