We drove south to Chattanooga (Tennessee) for a quick stop at the former rail terminal, now hotel, then via Georgia and Alabama (to tick-off another state visited), before driving north to Nashville (Tennessee).

Day 60 - Sunday 23 June
Today was a very long driving day as we completed the Blue Ridge Parkway, then drove to Knoxville (Tennessee), where we overnighted and said 'bon voyage' to Lee. Along the ever changing and spectacular driveway, we visited the Blue Ridge Music Center, where Di was given some lessons on a hammered dulcimer (a Bluegrass instrument).

Day 59 - Saturday 22 June
This morning we completed the last 64 kilometres of the 169 kilometre Skyline Drive (maximum speed is 56 kph), and in the afternoon we started the Blue Ridge Parkway Drive - http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/, completing 322 kilometres of its 755 kilometres (maximum speed is 72 kph). We believe these two drives to be the most scenic we have driven in the world!

Day 58 - Friday 21 June
This morning we go on a personal tour (with guide, Tom) through the Gettysburg Battlefield. We then go to the War Cemetery, and the locations where Abraham Lincoln gave and wrote his Gettysburg Address. After lunch we drove south (within 20 minutes, we drove through 4 states - Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia) to Front Royal, where we commenced the spectacular Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia - http://www.nps.gov/shen/planyourvisit/driving-skyline-drive.htm .
