Day 30 - Wednesday 24 June

What a lovely morning.

Our lovely host at - www.dreibirken.it - recommended that we didn't drive into Bolzano, but go in as the locals do - a 5 minute local train ride followed by a 15 minute cable car ride - fantastic.

Di spent a couple of hours looking through the laneway of shops.

Whilst Bill went to the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology to see Otzi, and tried on a replica of his hat and clothes - http://www.iceman.it/ .

After returning to our car, via the cable car and local train, we drove 3 hours north, from Italy, through Austria, back to Germany, with beautiful views from the autobahn.

We arrived at Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany, in the middle of the afternoon, and caught a cable car to the top and back.

We then drove a further 1 hour north to Schwangau, Germany, where we are staying the night.
