Day 58 - Wednesday 22 July

London (10).

Bill spent the morning wandering through nearby Knightsbridge retail (Harrod's, Harvey Nicholls, etc), before strolling around Mayfair, including having a pork pie in Gloucester Square.

We then met to go to the very entertaining - http://www.bookofmormonlondon.com/show/ .

In the evening, we visited our niece, Anna, her husband Jon, and their son, Benjamin, for dinner.

Day 57 - Tuesday 21 July

London (9).

In the morning, we visited the nearby Victoria & Albert Museum, where Di went to the Shoe Exhibition, whilst Bill wandered around the other exhibits.

Then it was a Reuben sandwich at Selfridges for lunch.

We then went on an informative tour of the Wallace Collection.

Day 56 - Monday 20 July

London (8).

With the early finish to the Lord's Test, the cricket widow and the cricket tragic reunited.

In the morning we visited a nearby residence where Bill's mother had worked as a nanny pre-WWII and Australia.

We then strolled along the King's Road, Chelsea, before catching a bus along our favourite route (# 19) to Picadilly, where we went to see the interesting biographical film about the beach Boys'Bryan Wilson - http://www.loveandmercyfilm.com/ .

 

 

Day 55 - Sunday 19 July

London (7).

Di had a rest day with our hosts, Robyn & Laurie, who returned this morning from their African safari.

Bill went with Trev to the 4th day of the Lords Test, including a visit to the hallowed Pavilion, and enjoyed watching the Aussies wrap up the match by demolishing the Poms.

Day 54 - Saturday 18 July

London (6).

Di's birthday.

Yet another tough day, same as the previous two days - Di & Jo shopping, Bill, Trev, Ian & Helen at the cricket, and another good day for the Aussies.

Day 53 - Friday 17 July

Another tough day, same as yesterday - Di & Jo shopping, Bill & Trev at the cricket, an even better day for the Aussies!
