Sea Day 8 – in the Great Barrier Reef

Fortunately, we avoided Cyclone Trevor. However, today’s weather conditions kept us indoors, so we had a pleasant day inside chatting with several friends we’d made on the cruise.

Dili, Timor-Leste

We tendered from our ship to shore.

We then hired Phillipe and his taxi to drive us around his city – the taxi was supposed to be air-conditioned, and as can be seen, had other luxuries. In fact, after driving off, Phillipe unbuckled Bill’s seat belt, advising that it was not actually attached to the car!
