Day 77 - Sunday/Monday 17/18 June 2018

Waikiki, Hawaii - Melbourne, Australia

Home again.

After months of beautiful, warm weather, we were welcomed home by a cold Melbourne.

This holiday has continued our very fortunate run of great holidays.

The highlight, as always is catching up with great friends, namely (in chronological order):
- Lynaire & Paul, on our cruise from Sydney to Honolulu, plus in Maui & Waikiki,
- Trev & Aimee, Mark, Jen, Lee & Mary Anne, and Bronwyn, in New Orleans,
- Connie & Jim, in Galveston,
- Matthew, in Houston,
- Roni & Gary, in Denver,
- Joan & Peter, in Scottsdale,
- Maureen & Rick, in Las Vegas.

The other highlights included (again in chronological order):
- the Pacific cruise, including Bill swimming with sharks & rays in Bora Bora,
- driving the Road to Hana, on Maui,
- going to another New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and seeing some music legends perform,
- completing many more scenic drives, in Colorado, Arizona & Utah, and going to more National & State Parks, including Bryce Canyon again, Antelope Canyon, Mesa Verde, and the Rocky Mountains
- going to Cirque du Soleil's production, "Love".

Another wonderful holiday.

Day 76 - Saturday 16 June 2018

Waikiki, Hawaii - Day 5

A change of routine. One of our few overcast days on this holiday, but still warm, though humid.
In the morning, Bill had a wander along Waikiki Beach.

Then in the afternoon, back to the pool.

In the evening, (unfortunately) we listened on the radio to Geelong get defeated by Richmond.

Day 75 - Friday 15 June 2018

Waikiki, Hawaii - Day 4

This morning, we again spent the morning relaxing by the pool.

After lunch, Bill caught the public bus to and from Makaha (a 3 hour bus journey there - the worst traffic I've ever experienced - and a 2 hour bus journey back), on the south-west coast of Oahu. Nb. there may be traffic improvement in a decade -  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honolulu_Rail_Transit .
