Day 1 - Shanghai.
Pudong, looking across the Huangpu River, to the Bund, with our friend Christine.
Outside and inside Christine & David's home.
Delicious dinner at their local Chinese restaurant.
Delicious dinner and great entertainment at a Uighur restaurant.
Day 3 - day trip, 2 hour drive west, to Tongli, an ancient water town, known as the "Oriental Venice", stopping on the way at a Buddhist Temple.
Day 4 - Shanghai.
A delicious lunch at the sister restaurant of our favourite restaurant in the world (in NYC) - https://www.jean-georges.com/restaurants/china/shanghai/jean-georges/ .
Day 5 - day trip, 2 hours drive west, to Lake Taihu, the 3rd largest freshwater lake in China.
1 dragon, 2 dragons, ......
Day 6 - Shanghai.
Christine & David's driver, Xu Ming.
First stop is at Shi Liu Pu cloth market, to decide on our tailoring requirements.
Next stop is at Pudong, where we ascend the Oriental Pearl Tower.
We then visited the interesting History of Shanghai Museum.
Exhausting.
Solved with lunch.
Then an escalator, under the Huangpu River, to the Bund.
Then it was into - http://www.asia-bars.com/2013/07/roosevelt-wine-cellar-restaurant-at-the-bund-shanghai/ -, with its wine-tasting rooms, and Sky restaurant, for amazing nightime views of Pudong, followed by a stroll along the Bund.
Day 7 - on Monday morning, we flew 3 hours west, from Shanghai (Hongqiao airport) to Chongqing.

An evening wandering around, before another great meal, this time Shanghainese.
