Day 38 - Thursday 2 July

The morning started well when we picked up our rental car and it was an Audi A3 - the irony is that the German rental car companies don't like/allow their national cars to cross into Eastern Europe, hence we had a choice of a Ford Focus or a Skoda, but in Croatia ...... , go figure.

We drove south for 2 hours  from Zagreb to  the stunning UNESCO World Natural Heritage-listed Plitvicka Lakes National Park (Croatia) - http://www.np-plitvicka-jezera.hr/en/ . The 6 hours here included a quick lunch and a delicious dinner. In between we had a 10 minute bus ride, 90 minute walk, 20 minute boat ride, 2 hour walk, 10 minute bus ride, Very well organised and maintained.

We then drove for 3 hours to our coastal hotel in Makarska.
