Jazz & Heritage Musical Festival - Day 2
Another lovely sunny, blue sky day for our next day at the Festival.
Today, we started by watching a very entertaining Roddie Romero & the Hub City All-Stars:
We then decided thatwe would spend the rest of the day at the main stage, the Acura Stage, where we watched, firstly the Hot 8 Brass Band:
Bill went to watch several songs by Jerron 'Blind Boy' Paxton.
Then back at the Acura Stage, we watched a fantastic Tribute to Fats Domino, featuring the Fats Domino Orchestra, with special guests, fistly Deacon John:
then Davell Crawford:
then Irma Thomas:
then Jon Batiste:
then Bonnie Raitt, with Jon Cleary:
then Al ''lil fats'' Jackson:
After a brief break, Bonnie Raitt with her band, including Jon Cleary, returned to the Acura Stage:
The final performance for the day was a great show by Rod Stewart:
We then returned to the French Quarter, and the gang (Aimee, Mark, Lee, Paul & Trev) went for a cajun dinner at Pere Antoine Restaurant.
Di and then walked back to our condo, via the revelrous Bourbon Street.
