Day 28 - Sunday 29 April 2018

New Orleans - Day 4

Jazz & Heritage Musical Festival - Day 3

Another lovely sunny, blue sky day.

I went to the Festival solo today - Di took the day off.

I decided to walk the lovely 2.5 miles to the Festival, via the French Quarter and Treme.

I first went to the interesting interview of Doug  "the Ragin' Cajun" Kershaw and Steve Riley, by Nick Spitzer.

Due to several conflicting options today, I decided to watch several musicians for 4-5 songs each, as well as more interesting sights. First I watched the Magnificent 7:

Next I watched Henry Butler & the Jambalaya Band:

Next was Chocolate Milk:

Next was Jon Batiste with the Dap-Kings:

Next was New Orleans's Queen of Soul, Irma Thomas:

Next was Tab Benoit:

Next was Blues Legend, John Mayall:

And finally, I watched David Byrne:

After returning from the Festival, our friends Lee & Mary-Anne met us at our condo before we went for a delicious seafood dinner at https://www.superiorseafoodnola.com/ , in the historic Uptown area, and then returning by streetcar.
