Day 25 - Saturday 22 December

New York City - Day 6.

A lovely day, shopping with the Leedens.

We started with breakfast across the road from our hotel.

We then caught the subway down to Union Square, for the Christmas Market.

Then we walked down Broadway to Soho, stopping at many of Di's favourite shops.

We then returned to our hotel.

Trev, Kath & Bill then caught the subway out to Brooklyn, to go to a great little bar - https://www.barlunatico.com/ , where we were entertained by a really good blues & jazz quartet, featuring Brianna Thomas (vocals), Greg (the Organ Monk) Lewis, Warren Grant (drums) & ???? (guitar).

Day 24 - Friday 21 December!

New York City - Day 5.

A rainy, but unusually warm day (for December).

Di headed down to near Chelsea, to her favourite hairdresser - VS.

Bill spent 2 hours seeing and reading about sometimes interesting trivia at - https://ripleysnewyork.com/ .

He then noticed another legendary venue - BB King's Bar & Grill had shut down.

Meanwhile, other 42nd Street venues flourish!

We then, separately, caught the subway down to the Financial District ......

.... where we met for lunch at - https://www.nishnushnyc.com/ .

Then we looked through some of the shops in the area.

We then returned to our hotel, for a short rest, before going to our friends, Abigail & Andrew's, for dinner.

Day 23 - Thursday 20 December

New York City - Day 4.

A late start this morning, with Di visiting - https://www.neuegalerie.org/ , whilst Bill went wandering.

We then met with the Leedens, at Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Spectacular - https://www.rockettes.com/christmas/ .

In the late afternoon, the rain began.

And one of our historic favourite Christmas displays, at Lord & Taylor, is no more, as the department store is closing down!

Bryant Park's Ice Skating Rink.

Rockefeller Plaza.

Sak's 5th Avenue.

After dinner at - https://www.billsbarandburger.com/venues/rockefeller-center/ , with New York's Finest!

Followed by a stroll back to our hotel.
