Day 58 - Wednesday 7 December

New York City - Day 4 of 11

A lot of walking today!

In the morning, Di went to the Garment District, where she met our friend, Jamie, and they went looking at several fabric shops.

Next, Di and Jamie went to the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology - http://www.fitnyc.edu/museum/ .

Then some more shopping ...

In the morning, Bill took the subway (1 hour off my feet, each way) to a unsurprisingly stark, Coney Island, Brooklyn, where he devoured a chili cheese dog, from Nathan's.

passing Brooklyn Bridge

After returning to Manhattan, Bill caught the aerial tram to Roosevelt Island, and visited several attractions, including the Four Freedoms Park,

passing Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge

3 great buildings - UN, Empire State, Chrysler

North Point Lighthouse

the Octagon

Blackwell House

In the evening, we all caught up at the Church of the Village, to celebrate the new mural, inspired and painted by Jamie.

We then walked 'home' , admiring some of our favourite buildings at night.
