We started the morning by going to midtown, and walked into the annual Santacon bar crawl - http://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2016/12/10/thousands-of-revelers-descend-on-manhattan-for-santacon-pub-crawl--a-charity-event-with-a-checkered-history.html . We admired one of our favourite buildings - the Flatiron.
We then walked down Broadway to Union Square for the holiday market.
Next stop was downtown, where we walked around the beginning of the Brooklyn Bridge, City Hall and the Woolworths Building.
We then returned to the World Trades Center, where Bill & Peter went up to the One World Observatory, for an interesting elevator ride, and spectacular views.
the 9/11 "Survivor Tree"
We then went to Soho, for some shopping, and admired some of the famous buildings at night.
Di, Carol & Peter continued shopping and then went to dinner.
Bill went to the Time Warner Center, at Columbus Circle, for a wonderful musical evening, firstly for a pre-concert discussion by the artists, and then the concert - http://www.amny.com/entertainment/steve-miller-talks-rock-n-blues-tribute-to-t-bone-walker-at-lincoln-center-1.12707992 .
