Day 5 - Sunday 2 December 2018

Monterey - day 2

Another beautiful day, driving around the Monterey Peninsula.

We started the day strolling around Cannery Row.

We then drove to the nearby Old Town Historic District - https://www.nps.gov/nr/travel/ca/ca27.htm , where we visited the interesting Pacific House Museum.

Next, we visited Custom House, California's # 1 Historical landmark!

We then strolled down Fisherman's Wharf.

As we headed off, we saw California's first theatre.

We then drove to San Carlos Cathedral, the Royal Presidio Chapel, the oldest continuously operating parish and the oldest stone building in California.

We then drove to Point Pinos Lighthouse, the oldest continuously operating lighthouse on the West Coast of the USA.

We then commenced the picturesque 17-Mile Drive - https://www.pebblebeach.com/17-mile-drive/ .

There's a golf tee below!

Plenty of seals on this rock.

The famous Lone Cypress.

We had a late lunch at the Lodge at Pebble Beach - https://www.pebblebeach.com/dining/the-tap-room/ .

We then drove to Carmel-By-The-Sea, and strolled around this quaint little city until sunset, and then drove back to our cottage in Pacific Grove, Monterey.
