Day 20 - Thursday 28 February

Jaipur - Day 2

 
We started the day by driving into the Old (Pink) City, through one of the nine gates, with our guide, Krishan.

Our first stop was at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawa_Mahal

We then drove 15 kilometres north to the magnificent Amer Fort - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amer_Fort .

On our return to Jaipur, we stopped at Man Sagar Lake to view Jal Mahal - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jal_Mahal .

Our next stop was at the interesting Jantar Mantar - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jantar_Mantar,_Jaipur .

We then walked to the grand City Palace - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_Palace,_Jaipur .

We then drove to a textile warehouse for Di & Lynaire to review.

Day 19 - Wednesday 27 February

Pushkar - Jaipur, Rajasthan

On route we stopped at the Buddha Pushkar Temple.

After about 3 hours driving, we approached Jaipur - the Pink City.

After checking into the Radisson Hotel - https://www.radisson.com/jaipur-hotel-in-302001/indrjcc/hotel , we had a delicious lunch at Jaipur Modern - http://www.jaipurmodern.com/cafe .

Di & Lynaire then went shopping.

Paul & Bill went to the exquisite Amrapali Museum (of Indian jewelery and jewelled objects) - https://www.cntraveller.in/story/10-pieces-need-see-jaipurs-amrapali-museum/

Paul and Bill then visited the Albert Hall Museum - http://alberthalljaipur.gov.in/  , which had some interest, but is need of some repair.

In the meantime, Di had found a tailor for Bill - https://www.justdial.com/JAIPUR/The-Raymond-Shop-Near-Om-Tower-M-I-Road/0141P141STD23090_BZDET .

We then went to the grand Rambagh Palace for drinks - https://www.tajhotels.com/en-in/taj/rambagh-palace-jaipur/ .

Then on our way back to our hotel, we saw some interesting sights and witnessed some road rage.
