Bangkok, Thailand - Siem Reap, Cambodia
We spent our day in Bangkok (our first in 25+ years)
visiting the Grand Palace and several Buddhist Temples (in 35 degree Celsius
heat).
We spent most of the morning walking around the magnificent
Grand Palace Complex, which included the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaeo - no photos allowed of the Buddha)), and the interesting Museum of Textiles, which included a Javanese Batik Collecton and a wonderful exhibition of Queen Sirikt's Creations by Balmain (no photos allowed).
We then traveled in a Tuk Tuk to the Wat Indharaviharn, which houses a 32 metre Buddha.
Our next stop was at Wat Saket (the Golden Mount).
And our last stop was at the Wat Pho, which includes the
Reclining Buddha.
Elephant-print sarongs & pants are the fashion!
In the early evening we caught a short flight to Siem Reap.
Hi Billy, looks amazing. What map app did you use in the first image that allows you to plot multiple way points? Cheers David
