Day 10 - Monday 18 February

Delhi - Jaisalmer, Rajasthan - Day 1.

An early start for our morning flight.

We were picked up at Jaisalmer Airport by our driver (for the next 2 weeks), Surjeet, and our Jaisalmer guide, Raj.

We were then driven to our oasis (for the next 2 nights), the Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa - https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/jsamc-jaisalmer-marriott-resort-and-spa/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2 .

We then drove past the Jaisalmer Fort.

We then arrived at Dedansar Stadium, for today's fabulous Desert Festival events - http://www.desertfestivaljaisalmer.com/

The Army's camel riders and their camels were ready.

The Army's Leader was ready.

As were some observing camels.

Then the show began.

We took our spots in the VIP area.

We were next to Mr Desert and Miss Moomal.

And then show was over.

We then went to the Jaisal Treat for a delicious Rajasthani lunch, waited on by Amin.

We drove past the Fort again.

Said hello to a local.

We then started our walk around part of the Old Town (outside of the Fort). Our first stop was at Mandir Palace.

Next we stopped at Nathmal Ki Haveli, and were taken inside by the owner.

We then walked passed the Patwa Havelis.

We dropped into a fabric store.

 Where we had a rooftop view of the Fort and surrounds.

Then it was back to our hotel for some local entertainment and a delicious dinner at the rooftop restaurant.
