Delhi - Amritsar, Punjab
Ready for today's adventures.
And what great experiences we had.
Today's guide was Sahil, and our driver was Dinesh.
After checking into our hotel, Fairfield by Marriott, we drove 30 kilometres to the west to Wagah, for the amazing border ceremony - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagah-Attari_border_ceremony .
Driving back to Amritsar, we passed India Gate, with the statue of General Sham Singh Attariwala.
We then drove back into Amritsar, where we began our walk at the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Through the market.
We then arrived at the magnificent Sri Harmandir Sahib (the Sikh's Golden Temple) - http://sgpc.net/sri-harmandir-sahib/ .
Mass food preparations.
As we left the Golden Temple we stopped at Jallianwala Bagh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jallianwala_Bagh .
