Day 3 - Monday 11 February

Siem Reap, Cambodia - Day 2

We are staying at the lovely - http://goldentemplevilla.com/home - , where we are being wonderfully looked after by all the staff (thanks to Roni & Gary for their recommendation).

After breakfast, we were picked up by our driver, Mr E, and our guide, Chong, for the first day of our tours of the Hindu & Buddhist temples in the area. It was a 35 degree Celsius day, so we were lucky to have a very comfortable air-conditioned car, with ample supplies of cold water and face towels (thanks to Trev for his recommendation).

After purchasing our Angkor Pass, we drove 30 kilometres north-east to the Banteay Srie Temple - https://justsiemreap.com/temple-guide/banteay-srei/ , which is hailed as the "Jewel of Khmer Art".

Excuse me!

We then drove to the Preah Khan Temple - https://justsiemreap.com/temple-guide/preah-khan/ .

Next we visited the Neak Pean Temple - https://justsiemreap.com/temple-guide/neak-pean/ .

A short siesta after lunch.

We then visited the Ta Prohm Temple - https://justsiemreap.com/temple-guide/ta-prohm/ , which was used in the Lara Croft movie.

A tough day in the office.

Next we visited the Pre Rup Temple - https://justsiemreap.com/temple-guide/pre-rup/ .

We then drove back to Siem Reap, where we visited the Wat P.reah Prom Rath - https://www.thepoortraveler.net/2012/12/preah-prom-rath-temple-and-pagoda-siem-reap-cambodia/

We then returned to our hotel for a swim, then a delicious Cambodian dinner.
