Avignon, France (Day 6 of 8).
Aix-en-Provence, France.
This morning, we drove just over one hour south-east to another
lovely city, Aix-(pronounced ‘eks’)-en-Provence. Whilst it doesn’t have as many
stand-out attractions as the cities and towns we visited on previous days, we
enjoyed our stroll around the many lovely buildings and markets.
The Hotel de Ville:
Cathedrale St-Sauveur – a lot of renovations outside, but lovely
inside:
Musée Estienne de Saint Jean – interesting exhibition:
Pavillon de Vendome – lovely from the outside, but uninteresting inside:
We then returned to our apartment, where Di prepared a
delicious dinner to celebrate Jo’s birthday.
