Cruise Day 25
San Juan del Sur - Granada, Nicaragua.
After being tendered ashore to San Juan de Sur, we boarded our police-escorted bus for our 2 hour journey to Granada.
We had a brief stop at Playa La Virgen to view Maderas and Concepcion volcanoes on Omotepe Island.
As we arrived in Granada, we passed the main cemetery, where 'the Day of the Dead' was being celebrated.
We stopped at the San Francisco Church and Museum for an interesting tour.
We then walked to the Central Plaza and Parque Colon and surrounds, to see some beautiful buildings, including the Granada Cathedral.
We then went to Hotel Dario for lunch.
We then drove to nearby Lake Nicaragua for a a pleasant boat trip.
We then returned to San Juan de Sur for our tender back to our ship.
