Day 80 - Saturday 13 July

We started the day by visiting Gallup's historic Route 66 "El Rancho" hotel - http://www.elranchohotel.com/ .

We then headed north (on a non-Route 66 day).

Our first stop was at the Four Corners Monument - http://navajonationparks.org/htm/fourcorners.htm .

We then drove briefly through Colorado, before driving in Utah and seeing some spectacular land formations.

Then on the border of Utah and Arizona, we entered Monument Valley - http://navajonationparks.org/htm/monumentvalley.htm , for probably the most spectacular 17 miles of driving (on an unmade road - lucky we had a 4WD).

Overnight in the middle of Arizona, in a small town, Tuba City.
