Galveston - Day 3
In the morning we met our friends, Jim & Connie (who we hadn't seen since living in American Samoa in 1999!). Jim & Connie had recently relocated to Georgia, but flew down to see us.We had a delicious lunch at Waterman's Restaurant, on the west end of the island.
Jim & Connie then drove us to their recently sold B&B.
Jim & Connie then drove us along Broadway to view some of the historic buildings.
We then drove to the historic Strand district, which we walked along and looked in the shops.
We had a sunset dinner at the - https://www.galveston.com/olympiaatpier21/ , which is on the Galveston Channel, which has the Offshore Drilling Rig & Museum (a couple of dolphins are in front of the platform) and oil platform maintenance facilities.
