We picked up our rental car and drove just over 1 hour south of Berlin to Lubbenau, which is located on the southern edge of the UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve. The region is home to descendants of the Slavic tribes of Sorbs/Wends, and is famous for gherkins and punting. So we went punting for over 3 hours.
We then drove just over 1 hour further south, to Dresden, which is our base for the next 3 nights.
