We spent the day walking around this beautiful city. Considering Dresden was obliterated in 1945, the historical buildings have been reconstructed magnificently.
First stop was at the statue of Martin Luther in front of Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady), then a visit inside, and then up to the dome for the panaromas.
Then outside the Standehaus (Court of Appeal).
Then outside the Semperoper (Opera House).
Then we walked in around Zwinger (formerly the Palace, now a museum).
Then we walked passed the Neue Synagoge.
We then crossed the River Elbe, and stopped for photographs of the Goldener Reiter (statue of Augustus the Strong), and the historic buildings of Neumarkt.
We then looked in the Residenzschloss (formerly the Royal Palace, now a museum)
The final stop was across the Altmarkt (market square) to the Altmarkt-Galerie - a well-disguised shopping mall.
