Day 44 - Sunday 25 May

We spent the day investigating several of Seattle's neighbourhoods, on a continuously drizzly day.

First was Capitol Hill, where there was a farmer's market and a Jimi Hendrix statue.

Second was the delightful University Village shopping centre, in which we had a delicious lunch at - http://www.joeyrestaurants.com/kitchen-at-university-village.

Next stop was a stop in Westlake Avenue, which is the neighbourhood where Tom Hank's character in Sleepless in Seattle lived on a houseboat.

We then had a photo stop in Freemont for a Lenin-like statue, before driving to the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks and Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Garden, where there is a salmon ladder - unfortunately the salmon were also taking the Memorial Day holidays, even though a big bird was present.
