Barcelona, Spain (Day 5 of 7).
After breakfast (again) the Mercat de Sant Josep
de la Boqueria, we said our farewells to Monique, who was returning home
to France.
Di then spent her day shopping and pampering (no photos)
Bill made his way, by metro, to the Les Courts district, to partake in the FC Barcelona tour and experience – very interesting, even if FCB is not his club.
Bill then returned by metro to the waterfront,
and visited the very interesting Museu Maritim de Barcelona, the location of
the medieval royal shipyards. As well as models of various ships, on display is the replica of the 16th
century royal galley. The schooner, Santa Eulalia, which was launched in 1919,
is moored in nearby Port Vell.
We then met for another delicious tapas dinner,
